Rachel's Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

 1 1/2 C butter, softened
2 C white sugar
4 eggs
1 t vanilla extract
5 C all purpose flour
2 t baking powder
1 t salt

Instructions:

1.  In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.  Beat in eggs.  Add remaining ingredients and mix until combined.
2.  Cover and chill dough for one hour (or overnight)
3.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
4.  Roll out dough on floured surface to 1/4 to 1/2 inch.  Cut with cutter.
5.  Continue to roll and cut until no dough remains.
6.  Place cookies 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
7.  Bake 6-8 minutes on ungreased cookie sheets.
8.  Cool on rack
